A team investigation looking into the growing veterinary care industry and where it falls short for some pet owners. I spoke to legal experts and read through dozens of court cases, legal journals, and data from state regulatory boards.


As the city’s homeless census reaches an all-time high, residents pushed back against the city’s plans to build a family shelter in Bensonhurst. It would be the only shelter of any kind in the neighborhood.

I spoke to stakeholders (neighbors, parents, politicians, advocates, people experiencing homelessness), analyzed nonprofit documents, read property records, and took photographs for this piece.


Dialysis caregivers joined the “hot labor summer” in protest of two companies’ staffing shortages and work conditions. I researched, conducted interviews, sourced photographs, and wrote this piece within a few hours for a regional newswire.

A year-long team investigation looking into tenants’ lives and housing conditions at several buildings owned by one of New York City’s “worst landlords.” I analyzed data from public databases and from a Freedom of Information Act request using Python/Jupyter Notebooks, read through lawsuits, researched city/state housing laws, and interviewed over a dozen tenants about their experiences living in buildings under “hazardous conditions,” as classified by NYC Housing Preservation & Development.
